26 miles across the sea......

Catalina means something to everyone who has ever been, but for me it is like home. I have so many wonderful, and at the same time, interesting chidhood memories of being over there every summer that the minute I step off the boat it is like I am at home. I am so lucky that my husband shares the same love of Catalina as I do and maybe even more seeing that the Bloesers have had a home on the island since 1880. Thanks to the Bloeser family home, we get to spend time on the island and make new memories with our babies like our parents did with and for us.

To me Catalina is a seaplane landing and taking off in the water, golf carts that move so slow you could walk faster, spending rediculous amounts of money on shells and sunglasses, nice dinners with dad then darting off to the arcade, chili cheese fries and watching the seaplanes come in at Buffalo Head Nickel, my all time favorite...Flying Fish Boat, the Casino, Descanso Beach club, Olaf's, VW Buses as the Taxi, Coney Island fries, mornings at The Busy Bee, afternoons at the Mole just watching the quiet, and beliving that since I saw Top Gun at the Casino when it came out that Maverick aka: Tom Cruise would one day find me there..LOL!!
Of course as an adult those things have changed and through teenage years they also changed but these are the memories that stick with me and why I love the island so much!

Awesome kitchen view from the house

Macie was beyond excited everytime we got in the cart and she was quite the hit around the island as we drove through

My adorable buggy!

She loved this tube so much, it kept her entertained for hours on the beach

Sisters having fun in the sand

If you look hard you can see that Jace made Kaylee into a Mermaid

My backseat buddy!

Loving the ocean breeze on her face

Waiting for the boat home :(

Macie saying "bye bye" to Catalina
