November 09

Well what can I say, November has never been a favorite month of mine......Santa Ana winds, freezing cold in the morning, hot in the afternoon, a day of nothing to do but sit around and wait for the turkey to be ready, and then sit around and complain about how full we all are. November is now different for me since my lil girls came along. There is something about every holiday no matter how big or small that makes it so magical watching it through the eyes of children, especially your own children.

This year Kaylee and I created pine cone turkeys, hand turkeys, macaroni necklaces, and hats for Thanksgivin dinner. It has been a wonderful month. This year Thanksgiving was at our house with Mom, Chad, Ang, Melissa, JC, Kaylee, Macie, and I. It was a challenge preparing Thanksgiving dinner with a baby that needs you constantly but I managed to pull it off. Kaylee made macaroni neckaces for everyone and we had the necessary tools for everyone to make their own hats; Pilgrim or Native American.

The day after Thanksgiving we loaded up the kids and dove up the mountain to Lake Arrowhead to join JC's parents, sister, her kiddos, Aunt and Uncle, and cousins in their annual Thanksgiving in Arrowhead. It was very cold when we got there but with no snow in site. We had a great time around the villiage and a nice feast with the whole family before we headed to the tree lighting and Santa. We got to see Santa getting ready and when Kaylee yelled, "Santa!" he leaned over the balcony to give her a nice big wave. Tore at my heart strings a bit to see her get a special wave from Santa himself. We didn't end up making it through the tree lighting seeing that it was just too long of a day for the lil ones.
We had a nice thunder and lightening show very early Saturday morning and when we woke up, we woke up to a beautiful snow filled winter wonderland. The kids went out and played in the snow making snow balls, angels, and JC made a mini snowman on the table. It was a great morning an we couldn't have asked for any better!

Halloween 09

Halloween 09 started off with mom making chili as I do every year and carving our pumpkins out front. JC made a jack-o-lantern with its tongue hanging out as requested by Kaylee. She was quite the helper with the pumpkins.

Almost time to trick-or-treat and our lil mermaid is ready to go. Kaylee was so eager to get going that she wul not sit still for a picture. I am VERY lucky to get this one.

The girls. Ashlee and Katie with my baby girls getting ready to trick-or-treat. We have a tradition of trick-or-treating around the neighborhood together and this was the first year that I didn't have all my girls with me on Halloween. I knew that it was going to change sooner or later but I was hoping for the later ;). It was the first of many Halloween's that Ash and TT had a party to go to. Time is going by too fast!

This is my favorite because Macie is giggling at Ashlee.

Kaylee and her BFF Jenna. Jenna lives next door and is 6 months younger than Kaylee. They love eachother and trick-or-treated together the whole night. It was so much fun watching the girls together. It was a glimpse of what is to come.

Trick-or-treat!!!
Kaylee loves these scary guys. This one reminder her of the one at Target for so long. Everytime we were at Target we had to go see the "scary man".

Macie tried her hardest but just couldn't make it.

How cute are these two!?

Party Time.....Halloween Style

We finally were able to host our halloween party this year. Last year I wanted to so badly but was too sick with morning sickness so I had to cancel. This year Halloween was kicked off with a party at the Bloeser house for Kaylee and her friends. I made chili as I do every Halloween along with mac-n-cheese for the kiddos. There were games of strawing for spiders, spider ring toss, and decorating your own halloween frame. We took individual pictures of the kids as they walked in and gave them their own picture to put on their frame.

I am lucky enough to have great neighbors and organized a little pre halloween trick-or-treating for the kids. Five of the houses on our street were great enough to hand out candy to our little party goers as they trick-or-treated up and down the street.

All the kids had such a great time trick-or-treating and we all ended up back at our house for more fun and games. Halloween is my favorite time and having Kaylee love it as much as I do is making for many fun Halloween's in our future! We can' t wait for our party next year!!
