Friends

How lucky am I that I get to stay home with my girls while they grow up and have fun play dates with friends! These are the kids of friends that I was lucky enough to know through working at the Fish Tale all those years. We all ended uphaving kids right around the same time as one another and that brought us back into eachothers lives. The kids have so much fun playing together and we have a blast having everyone over for swim days!! Poor Maddy has been the only boy so far but now there is Leighton who is a couple weeks older than Macie so he is finally not alone! We will work on getting you another boy to play with Maddy!! ;) Kaylee, Macie, and I say thank you daddy for working so hard so that we can be together and have so much fun!! :)

A Little Birdie Told Me

Ok....here goes nothing! I have started my own shop on Etsy.com! The direct address to my shop is www.weeg002.etsy.com. I am still getting it together and only have this one mobile listed thus far. I am making another one tonight, hopefully, and will have it posted. I am waiting for some more shapes to get to me in the mail so that I can make more that are not butterflies and some that are boyish. I can make them though in any color scheme so if you know someone who is expecting or a little girl who would love one let me know or check out my Etsy shop! Kaylee wants me to make her one for her room so they aren't just for babies! I am having fun making these and I hope that someone out there likes them too, enough to buy one ;)! Wish me luck!! Now I just need a camera to take better pic's of my mobiles, better yet I will have Shawnna do it :)

Kaylee's survival test!!

Kaylee has been taking swim lessons at Water Safe swim school in Seal Beach since July of last year. She pretty much cried for the first 6 months of it and once the tears dried she caught on to swimming like a pro. She has done such a great job in the last year and because of all of her hard work she arrived at the time to take her survival test. This test is where her instructor, Heather, throws her in the pool with her clothes on. The goal is for Kaylee to bring her head up out of the water, float on her back, and swim the the wall of the pool where she can get out. This is done so that if she ever falls in a pool or any body of water she has the tools to float on her back to save herself. Kaylee did an exceptional job and passed her test within seconds.....literally. She did such a great job that she even asked to do it again! JC and I spent the night before with worried tummies for no reason! :)

OC Fair 09

This was Kaylee's first year at the fair. She wanted to pet every animal they had there. It took a while for her to warm up to getting on a ride and playing any of the games there but once we got her going she was all about it! She and I went on a boat ride which I wouldn't have gone on at her age and she had a blast swing back and forth and spinning. Her absolute favorite part of the fair was riding Lolly! She loves horses and was so happy and a little cocky when they put her on LOL! I told her that we will have to go to cousin Joan's and she will put her on a horse to ride. Her repsonse was "now mommy...pleeease!" I am so glad that she had a great time and mom, dad, and May May did as well. The summer is never complete until going to the fair, playing games, the rides, and of course the carnies!!! ;)

Catalina July 09

Macie started crying when the Mariachi STOPPED so they sang just for her

Me, Gregory Harrison (Chandler), JC

It was time again for our favorite place....Catalina! It was Macie James' first trip to the Island and she loved it! Every summer JC's family and all of their friends that they have known forever go over to the island at the same time for a week with their kids and their kids kids who are all around Kaylee's age. It is always a great time and a lot of fun to be over there with such a huge group of people. We go to BBQ under the stars at Descanso for dinner and the kids play on the beach and on the big grass area, the is the annual girls luncheon at Mt. Ada which is beautiful and a great opportunity for the dad's to have the kids and the moms to sit back and relax, and then there are days shopping and of course the beach. Kaylee' favorite part of Catalina right now though is riding in Papa's golf cart which she calls the boring and going out to the mole to watch the boats. She is my girl and always points out the big yacht's and says, "mommy's boat!" That's my girl!!
It turns out that Gregory Harrison's family house is across the street from our family's house on the island and he was there while we were so of course we had to get our picture taken with him because North Shore is our favorite movie!! At first I was all abot it and when it came down to it I felt like the biggest dork ever!
