Macie James Bloeser is finally here!! Macie was born on May 31, 2009 weighing in at 7 lbs. 13 ozs. She is 20 1/2 inches long. Macie came out with dark hair, that she has yet to loose so I am thinking that it is here to stay! Yay a baby with some hair ;)! Delivery was a blast....yeah RIGHT...but so worth it! She is a great baby is loves to eat, she gets that from the Gannon side. She is now 3 weeks old and weighing in at 8 lbs. 9 ozs. Kaylee is a great older sister and loves to hold Macie and help with anything that she possibly can. We are very lucky to have two awesome girls to say the least. Here are a few pictures and I promise I will post more.

Catalina 5-1-09

This weekend, May 1st, JC, Kaylee, and I went to our favorite home away from home, although we haven't been for a while.....Catalina. It was to celebrate JC's 36 birthday which is this Thursday, May 7th, as well as our last time over there before Macie. I wanted to get over there before summer seeing that I won't be able to get back over there again until Spetember. That is okay though because that is my favorite time to be over there. Kaylee now being two and more aware of her surroundings was super excited to get on the boat. On our way over there I was hoping for at least one dolphin to swim next to the boat but what we got was something that I can't ever recall seeing before. There had to be hundreds of dolphins swimming and jumping for us. JC was able to get a few pictures of them as you see below. Kaylee has a great time on the golf cart or what she calls the booooring ( taught her that golf is boring LOL!) so anything associated with golf is "booooring."

Due to the swine flu going around all the cruise ships were deverted to the island so there were two ships in everyday. The crowds were like summer time, too bad the weather wasn't. We had a great trip and Kaylee had a blast over there as she always does. We did have to come home a day early because I exhausted myself and had a hard time Friday night so we opted to come home on the late Saturday night boat to be on the safe side, didn't want to get put on the helicopter in an emergency and flown back to LB seeing that they do not deliver babies on the island. Being 35 weeks pregnant and the size of a buffalo walking around Catalina proves to be a bit challenging. There were at least 3 comments a day about how far along I was by complete strangers but some were pretty funny! 2 days over there is better that none at all. Next time we get to the island as a family we will be up by one. :)

Macie's Room!!

I am so excited with the way Macie's room came out! I always seem to have a great idea in my mind but the execution of that idea usually falls short in some way or another. This time....it came out just as I wanted. :) We had the father-in-law of a guy that JC works with come out and put up waynescotting in the room and then JC painted it white with the chocolate brown on the walls. It is the exact brown that I wanted (amazed it worked out that way). We brought in the crib that was once Kaylee's and I added the chocolate brown bumper and the chocolate brown crib skirt that mom sewed to match. The blanket that hangs over the crib is from a lady on Etsy.com (my FAVORITE website) who made that for me as well as the painting of the birds on the wall above the rocking chair. I also purchased the decal above the crib that says "tweet dreams" from Etsy. Paula and John bought Macie the pink chenille rocker because I still use the one that they bought us for Kaylee so much that I knew we were going to need another one. The jumbo safety pin from Auntie Ali holds up an adorable hanging that Auntie Shawn made which has chocolate brown squares to put pictures of my girls in. Then of course there is the mobile..........that I MADE! Yes folks you read that right.....I made it with my own two hands and a hot glue gun! LOL! Who knew that I could actually do something crafty?! I just may start selling them on Etsy.com. I am so in love with this room and often go and sit in there just to pat myself on the back ;) I think that Macie is going to be a very happy girl in this room and Kaylee thinks so as well, Kaylee points to the crib and says "MayMay ni night!"

Baby Shower for Macie

Sunday, April 26th Shawnna, Ali, and Ang threw me a baby shower. It was a nice small shower, just as I wanted, with friends and family. We had it at our house so that everyone could see the nursery that was finally finished. Macie is a lucky littel girl already with lots of people excited to meet her. The top picture is of my friend Janae and I, we are both due on the same day although she is lucky and is scheduled to deliver on the 27th. She is having a little boy so maybe we already have another prearranged marriage for Macie ;)

Pool Days...II

I had to post this picture because it captures Kaylee exactly in the pool. Kaylee is now all about jumping in over and over again since she has learned to jump out. Yes she has known how to jump but before Kaylee thought jumping in the pool was to jump straight up in the air and then come straight down and hit her bottom on the edge of the pool......not making for much fun. She has it down pat now and this is what a dy in the pool with Kaylee consists of.

Today her little friends Alex and Reagan came over and they swam for a good hour and a half. After swimming they ate their lunch on the patio and then went into the airconditioning where they ran around the house screaming and having a great time. I LOVE to watch her play and have so much fun with her friends!!

Pool Days

This past weekend was Grand Prix weekend here in Long Beach. No I did not go :( JC went on Sunday with John and so we had Ali, Paula, Mimi, the kids, Shawn and girls, and Ang over for a day in the pool. Shawnna came over and was taking pictures of the kids swimming to practice her photography. These pictures of Kaylee are some of those.

This past weekend the weather was unbelievable here in LB reaching 95 yesterday and 100 today (too hot!). JC, Kaylee, and I had a great weekend hanging out in the pool, gardening, and going out to dinner. They were the days that reminded me of when I was a kid. Dad planting some plants in the back yard while jumping in and out of the pool, me being in the pool all day long, and then all of us either BBQ-ing or heading out for a nice dinner. I was so in my comfot zone for the weekend. ;)

Easter 09

Yesterday was a great day. Not only could we have asked for better weather for an easter egg hunt but we were able to celebrate easter with most of our family. We went to John and Paula's house and shared easter morning with Mom, Chad, Ang, Ali, Bill, Chase, Brayden, Reese, John,Paula, and ofcourse JC, Kaylee, and I. Kaylee wore her beautiful easter dress but I was disapointed when her adorable crochet shoes didn't fit her. That is what I get for buying a toddler shoes a few months before hand. Kaylee woke up Easter morning to a basket in her room left by the easter Bunny. He gave her a play tea set, books, and jelly beans. She was very excited to see the tea set that she has been wanting and immediatly started to poor JC and I tea in bed. We went to John and Paula's later in the morning and once everyone got there the kids easter egg hunt began. Kaylee was doing well, maybe that was because her daddy was right behind her the whole time snatching eggs from little boys hands and putting them in Kaylee's basket, LOL! The kids all got to dump out their baskets and discover the awesome things waiting for them inside. We ended the day with a plantingof a tree with Papa, a session of bubble blowing with the Dad's on the golf course, and Kaylee's favorite thing of all giving Annie (John & Paula's lab) a treat and letting her give kisses. It was a great day. It would have been even greater if we had all of our family with us in Long Beach still but we can't have everything...right? Miss Dad being down the street terribly.
